Mutaz Jankot is an award-winning film director, feature filmmaker, and producer with over 25 years of experience shaping high-impact visual storytelling across the MENA region and internationally. Working between Amman, Dubai, and global production hubs, he has built a career defined by scale, innovation, and a strong authorial voice that bridges cinematic storytelling with large-scale production execution.

Jankot is recognized as a pioneer in holographic performance productions in the region, having directed landmark shows featuring iconic artists such as Umm Kulthum, Abdel Halim Hafez, and Talal Maddah. These productions, staged across major cities including Paris, Dubai, Cairo, Casablanca, Riyadh, and Kuwait, established new creative and technical benchmarks in live entertainment and immersive experiences.

As a filmmaker, his work spans feature films, documentaries, and broadcast content. In 2026, he directed a trilogy of narrative feature films —36 Hours in Wadi Rum (which he also wrote), Path of Mercy, and Family Photo.

Throughout his career, Jankot has founded and co-founded multiple production companies across Jordan and the UAE, leading cross-border teams and delivering projects from concept to final delivery. His portfolio includes over 30 hours of broadcast documentaries for major regional and international networks, as well as more than 100 brand films across television, advertising, and social media content.
His earlier work includes award-winning Non-Narrative films such as XEKY - "HOME", recipient of the Jordan State Award, along with internationally recognized works including Truant Justice and A Village Tale. His contributions to the industry have been recognized with multiple awards from prestigious festivals in Tunisia, Cairo, and Jordan.

Combining hands-on directing with executive leadership, Jankot is known for managing complex, large-scale productions involving multinational crews, while maintaining a strong focus on storytelling, authenticity, and emotional impact.
